Promoting teamwork and communication in Esports through clubs.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote the values of teamwork, communication skills, grit, and school spirit by participating in intense gauntlets of co-ed eSports competitions as a school community and as a family through games such as Minecraft, Valorant, Overwatch, and more.
Tournaments and games provide an opportunity for students to hone their in-game skills, create content around their team, and take up leadership and management roles to help organize and coordinate their fellow students.
Fall 2021 Bedwars Tournament
The Official Fall 2021 OCSA Esports Bedwars Tournament recap video is now posted for the event we hosted on 11/5. We would like to thank all the players who signed up and participated, and everyone who helped set up, run, and clean up the event.
The Most Popular Games to Choose From
Overwatch
Overwatch is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter in which two teams of six go head to head. Each player selects a “hero” from a roster of over 30 characters, each of which has unique skill sets and abilities that fit within a general team role: tank, damage, or support.
Rocket League
Soccer meets driving in Rocket League, a game of rocket-powered acrobatic cars. Two teams of three choose from a variety of high-flying vehicles equipped with huge rocket boosters to score aerial goals and pull-off game-changing saves.
Minecraft
The classic “Capture the Wool” game mode is where teams with five players each must defend their wool room whilst trying to steal the opponent's wool and return it safely back to their base, all while facing off against five opponents.
"Esports students gain communication skills, participate in team-building exercises and create lifelong friends with people they may have never met if it wasn't for the club. My hope is to create an environment that allows students to be themselves and to be proud of something they are good at.”
